Castleknock will wonder how they lost this one.  Despite a sluggish start that saw them fall behind, they dominated the first half.  The pressure eventually told, when David Kelly latched onto a loose ball 20 yards from the Mid Sutton goal and hit a screamer to the roof of the net.  Half time 1 - 1 

Castleknock started the 2nd half with purpose, and Paul Donoghue fired them ahead 7 minutes in, with a great solo effort that saw him beat 4 men before calmly slotting home. 

It was all Castleknock at this stage. Some great chances were created but unfortunately not taken.  

They were to pay the price for this when Mid Sutton caught Castleknock on the counter.  A long through ball from midfield deceived everyone, and found its way to an unmarked Mid Sutton player who shot home the leveler. 

Castleknock continued to dominate but couldn't force a third goal.  With minutes remaining Castleknock conceded a free kick in midfield.  The free kick again deceived everybody, and fell to an unmarked Mid Sutton player who made no mistake to make it 3 - 2 

The final action of the game saw Castleknock force a corner that came to nought.  Final score 3 - 2.
