1st win of the season for Castleknock Celtic in defeating Maynooth Town 2-1 in this League Cup away fixture.

Maynooth Town did take the lead mid-way through the 1st half with an opportunistic goal scored directly from a corner kick.

However, Castleknock Celtic equalized close to the end of the 1st half when Ryan McCann prodded the ball home. Ryan maintains his record of scoring in every game this season (albeit it is only two games!).

Castleknock Celtic continued to apply pressure in the 2nd half and from a terrific John Carrie free-kick, Liam Mulroney put away a 2nd goal.
