17th/18th October 2009

AUL Div2 Sat (P Finn):

LSL Maj1B Sat (Ray Bowe): UCD prove too strong for Celtic as the students put 3 past the hosts without reply.  0-3

AUL PremC Sun (Ed OCallaghan):

AUL Div2 Sun (P Hoey):

NDSL 8Prem (P Killian): Old rivals Corduff Utd hold Celtic to draw.  1-1

DDSL 8C (Craig Shiels): Goals from Charles, Colm and Adam Kelly gave Celtic a 3-1 win away to Harolds Cross Boys.  3-1

NDSL 8D (Pat Reilly)

DDSL 9C (P Danaher): Valeview Shankhill overcame Celtic 3-2 away in South County Dublin. Castleknock were defeated after a poor performance. The team struggled to get into the game and never played to their full potential. Gavin Harney scored both goals and was the team's best player on the day. 2-3

NDSL 9B (P Mason): Cracking win for Celtic as they open their league campaign with 4-0 win at home to St Josephs East Wall.  4-0

NDSL 9D (C Jones):

DDSL 9F (Shane White): Another win for Celtic with a fantastic team performance.  They travelled away to Clonee, and went 1-0 up in the first half with the first of Ayoub's fabulous strikes.  But Clonee hit back to level things before the break.  Celtic got the all important goal late in the second half, again Ayoub hit a top class strike to seal the victory for the visitors.  Darragh O'Riordan was brilliant in goal, with Dave Nugent putting in a man of the match performance in the middle of the park.  Celtic had suffered defeat some weeks ago against the same opposition, but a shrewd tactical move by the manager Shane ensured that Clonee's main threat was blunted by a superb man-marking job by Keelan McEntee, who went very close to getting the player of the match award.  Shane was delighted with a magnificent team performance that has given his team back to back victories.  2-1

NDSL 10P+ (T Rush): Stunning win for Celtic away to Clontarf. Mark Brazil and Christian Sutton had given Celtic a 2 goal advantage at half time.  Ruairi Patton's brace, and goals from Evan Lawlor and another from Christian Sutton saw Celtic complete the rout.  6-0

NDSL 10P (A Schmidt):

DDSL 10C (T Molloy): A depleted Celtic went to Templeogue utd.  Down 3 players through illness Celtic put on great display, unlucky to have lost 3-1 and go out of the cup, in their frist defeat of the season.

NDSL 10D (M Stevens): U10D -  A below strength team travelled to Skerries FC and were afforded the privilege of playing on the Senior Pitch. However,  the glory went the way of Skerries, after a courageous CCFC effort.  1-4

NDSL 10F (Sean Porter)

DDSL 10D (Rob Ryan)

NDSL 11B (E Mullen): Defeat for Celtic at home to Rock Celtic in the SFAI All Ireland Cup. 1-4.

NDSL 11E (M Farrell): Karl Fanning's and Stephen McAdam's goals were not enough to avoid defeat for Celtic away to Navan Road Utd.

DDSL 11D (Derek Dixon):  Celtic went down to Fettercairn 5-2 at home in the Cup.

NDSL 12Prem (S Dooley): Braces for Mal Tighe and Demi Dare laid the foundations for a very comprehensive win for Celtic in the 2nd round of the SFAI Cup away to Clontarf FC.  Kevin Miller completed the scoring.  This result was all the more remarkable given that Celtic played the game with the bare eleven having lost players just before kick off through illness.  5-0

DDSL 12B (A Kelly):

DDSL 12C (Gavin/Steve):

NDSL 12D (R Barron): Castleknock rued a litany of missed goal scoring opportunities.  This was a match that Castleknock should have won.  Despite scoring 4 terrific goals and creating numerous clear goal scoring opportunities, Castleknock suffered a 4-5 home defeat to Balbriggan FC.  Credit however must be given to the Balbriggan goalkeeper who denied Castleknock again and again.  Ryan McCann scored his customary goal (that's 5 goals in 5 consecutive games for Ryan). Sean Gannon also got his season off to a start with a fine goal while John Carrie scored a brace.  "Man Of The Match" was Liam Mulroney who always posed a threat with his breaking runs down the wing. 4-5

NDSL 12Girls:

NDSL 13Prem (F Murphy):

NDSL 13B (Conor/Martin):  Gary McCabe hit a brace and a single strike from Conor Ó Ceallaigh were not enough, as Celtic went down 6-3 to Hartstown Utd.  3-6

NDSL 13C (J O'Leary): Tremendous win for Celtic away to Swords Manor in Joe Kirby Cup. 2-0

DDSL 13C (P Allen):

DDSL 14Maj (B Kennedy): Celtic hit Portmarnock for five in Porterstown to register 3 wins on the bounce in the Major League.  5-0

NDSL 14C (T Hanlon): Celtic went down 2-0 to Carlingford Celtic in this SFAI All Ireland game in Porterstown.

DDSL 14B (D Byrne): Cracker ends with share of the points as Celtic draw with St Kevins in Porterstown.  4-4

NDSL 14D (Gerry/Oleg):

NDSL 15Prem (J Roe):

DDSL 15Maj (D Bradshaw): Celtic proved too strong for visitors Confey Utd in Porterstown.  Having gone 1-0 behind, they struck back on the double with bullet headers by Sean Conroy from Sean Hoare's characteristic corners to lead 2-1 at half time.  Stephen Treadwell completed the scoring with his trademark strike in the second half.  3-1

NDSL 15A (A Kelly):

NDSL 15C (Pierce/Willie): Eoin Goslin's fab brace helps Celtic to 3-1 win away to Marino.  3-1

DDSL 16Prem (D Hanlon): Narrow defeat for Celtic at home to Rush Athletic.  0-1

NDSL 16A (SODonnchú):

NDSL 16B (B Smith):  Celtic performed a great Houdini act to transform this game. Having gone 2-0 down at home to Hartstown, they struck back to edge it in the end with a brace from Kevin Hynes.  3-2

DDSL 17Maj (J Moriarty): They say pride comes before a fall, but not when it's Pride Murungu, when his strike earned Celtic a share of the points at home to Kilnamanagh.  1-1.

NDSL 18A (G Hunt):
