Celtic's Leinster Senior League team powered their way into the 4th round of the most important junior competition in the country.  Facing Drums from Div 1, Celtic were far from overawed, and were 2-0 to the good by half time.  Their first came  from a screamer from John Byrne.  The same man was involved in the second when he was fouled for the ref to award a penalty.  Big Dec Cunningham stepped up and converted the spot kick.  2-0 half-time.

20 mins into the second half, Celtic were again registering on the scoreboard.  This time it was Al O'Grady who came forward and buried his free kick low into the the bottom of the net at the near post.  This was  a marvellous win that sees Vernon McAllorum's team make impressive progress.  3-0 Full time.
