NDSL 13E/League Cup

Castleknock Celtic  3  -  2  Ratoath Harps

Celtic scored first after 15 minutes, scorer Othman Saleh.  Well deserved for the endeavour shown. Ratoath scored from a very good individual effort, totally against the run of play. Half time 1 - 1. 

In the second half, Celtic played beautiful football and got a deserved second from a Shane Sweeney strike. Ratoath came back level a second time with 10 minutes to go. Two minutes later, Othman broke through on the left side of the penalty area only to be brought down by a defender. He got up, dusted himself off and duly despatched the penalty kick to the top left hand corner of the net.

Regular goalkeeper, Tadgh Hanlon, was missing due to a broken wrist, but his understudy, Michael Fahy, was voted Man of the Match. 

This result is a great foundation to build on for the league campaign to come.
