"Battling Qualities Shine through for Celtic"

3 - 3 the result at the end of a tough but fair match between Celtic and the visitors, St Martins.  An early goal by Sammy Magadelena set Celtic up for a first half in which they controlled proceedings with impressive displays from midfield trio of Aidan Sampson, Matthew Mullen and Cian Kelly. This trio between them set up a number of unconverted chances. Meantime first half goal keeper Daniel Kiely and Ruairi O'Flaherty in defence, ensured that scoring opportunites for St Martins were minimised.

As the saying goes, this was a game of two halves, having swapped the No. 1 jersey with Ruairi O'Flaherty, Daniel Kiely was on hand to blast home a chance created by Cian Kelly & Stephen Lynch.  However St Martins seemed to wake up and weren't long about bringing themselves back into the game and after several good chances had drawn level 2-2.

Despite this set back Castleknock heads didn't drop and Sammy Magdelena popped up to restore the Castleknock lead. However, St Martins weren't beaten yet and managed to sneak an equaliser just before the end.

Overall a very solid performance from a Castleknock team that deserve a higher league position. Perhaps this performance will give them the encouragement and self belief they need for the second half of the season.
