AUL Div2A Sat : Fabulous win for Celtic in
Porterstown over title rivals Harelawn ends in home
victory. 3-2

LSL Maj1D Sat :

AUL Div1 Sun : Celtic continued their
surge up the table with a narrow 2-1 home win over
St Malachys who looked a much more formidable
opponent in this return league game. The earlier fixture
had ended in a 5-1 home away win for Celtic. The
home side's goals came from Billy Thompson and a penalty
from Andy Weldon, Celtic's own Larry Lloyd, though Larry
would have been proud of Andy's scoring record. 2-1

leaders Portrane in Porterstown. 1-2

NDSL 7B:
DDSL 8A: Dingle 3 - 1 Castleknock Celtic :
Castleknock slumped to their first defeat since December
in a hard fought game away to Dingle. The sides were
level at the break 0-0 with each
team spurning chances to take the lead. Dingle scored
shortly after half-time and a second goal was scrambled
in after a great initial save by Tom Hegarty.
A late David Petticrew penalty for Castleknock gave
hope that we could get something out of the game but a
sloppy third goal straight from the kick-off killed our
chances. A disappointing result but his was a great
learning experience for the team.

NDSL 8C:
NDSL 9A: Celtic went down to Ashbourne Utd in
this crucial league game. Mike Leahy scored for
Celtic, while Mark Brazil took off a superb save in the
first half that Ray Clemence would have been proud
of. 1-2

NDSL 10A: No-show from Ballymun Utd gave
Celtic a walkover, to the great disappointment of Enda
Mullen's squad, who were just interested in performing
at home in Porterstown.
NDSL 10B:
NDSL 10C: Mick Farrell's side goes down to
Swords Celtic despite a great team effort. They
hit the crossbar once and a had a few near misses.
The final score did not do justice to a valiant
performance by Celtic. 0-2

NDSL 12C (JOL): : Woodlawn. After last week
it was back to winning ways for Celtic in this David
Costello League Cup game. They were much improved,
and put in a hard working performance, against a very
solid Woodlawn. It was Caolan O'Donnell's brace that
was the difference between the sides. It was a
difficult decision to pick a Man of the Match, but it
was David Kelly who shaded it. 2-0

NDSL 12Girls:
DDSL 13Prem: Celtic maintained their battle
for survival earning a share of the points against the
visiting Stella Maris team, which takes Celtic to 7th in
the table. It was a creditable performance with
every player doing his bit for the cause. They
could have taken all 3 points but for some great
goalkeeping by the Stella keeper. Either side
could have been awarded a penalty, but the referee was
in a rather stingy mood. 0-0 Joey Lennon-Maher

NDSL 13Prem: Keelan McAnerin and Aran Mooney
were Celtic's marksmen in this 2-0 home win over
Rivervalley Rangers in a tough encounter in Porterstown.
2-0 NDSL 13C (JnHayes): Celtic were good
value for a share of the points against a bustling
and robust Kinsealy Boys. James Carolan was again on the
scoresheet, but it was Niall O'Riordan who was awarded
the man of the match for his marvellous display, which
was climaxed with a superb save from a disputed Kinsealy
penalty by their very very big centre forward who had
been a real handful throughout. Full marks to
Celtic for keeping him restricted to. They
certainly showed a level of commitment that was amazing
to ensure that they ended on level terms. 1-1
 NDSL 13D
(JnByrne): Superb win for Celtic away to Malahide Utd.
1-0.
NDSL 13E
(AlFahy):
Played against a very strong wind for the first half,
but led 3 - 0 at half time. Goals from Adam Maher, and a
brace from Nick Mesina.
The second half started at a frantic pace with Swords
Celtic pushing to get into the game early in the half. A
beautiful ball floated over the top by Jake Clarke was
pursued tigerishly by Andrew Murphy. Everyone stopped
for a perceived offside, but Andrew "played the whistle"
and got his just reward with a well placed goal. Soon
after, Paddy Miller was perfectly placed to convert from
six yards following a beautiful cross fr om the right
wing. The performance was completed by leading scorer,
Nick Mesina, who scored his third with a few minutes to
go. That makes three hat-tricks for him this season, two
of them in the last three games. Overall a pleasing
result, with the added bonus of another clean sheet.
Castleknock Celtic still in the hunt for league honours.
Squad: Tadgh Hanlon, Eoin O'Sullivan, Ciaran Coady,
Alan Johnson (Capt.), Abu Elamin, Michael Fahy, Shane
Sweeney, Ross Kennedy, Nick Mesina, Riad Didani, Cathal

performance as he led his side to a 4-0 win away to
Ashbourne Utd. 4-0
 DDSL 14Major:
Celtic went down to table toppers St Malachys.
Goals from Kevin Flanagan and Luke Cautley were not
enough as Celtic went down to the odd goal in 5. 2-3 NDSL 14C:
NDSL 14D: Swords Rovers were out of the blocks
like sprinters and were 1-0 within minutes of the start.
Celtic played in the changed strip of yellow and green.
A brace each from Eoin O'Gorman and Zaid Kurchied,
and a single strike from Shane Wright, ensured that
Celtic cruised to a 5-1 victory at home. There
were whispers after this very convincing win that Celtic
had turned the corner and could now embark on a spring
charge. 5-1
