NDSL 8B (C Jones) :

NDSL 8C (Paul Mason) : Last week's under 8G is now under 8C and they played their first competitive match in this division against the leaders, Cloughertown. This was a fantastic match with end to end play. Cloughertown opened the scoring after 10 minutes and Celtic replied almost immediately with a fine effort from Luke Penrose. Celtic conceded a second just before half time and when they conceded third after the break it looked ominous, but they dominated the  last 10 minutes and goals from Mykola Babiy and Geremi Mputu levelled it at 3:3.

Celtic had a host of chances in the final minutes but had to settle for the draw which was a fantastic first match effort in this league. 3:3

NDSL 9A (T Rush) : Tremendous win for Celtic as they overcame their close rivals, Swords Celtic, at home in Porterstown. Marksmen for Celtic were the prolific, Robbie Paton, and Brian McGivern. 2-1

NDSL 10D (M Farrell) : Celtic were left scratching their heads after this defeat at home to  Malahide Utd.  Murungu struck twice for Celtic, but they also twice hit the woodwork, which on another day would have found the back of the net.  Celtic's defensive qualities were on show too, and Jamie Farrell put in a man of the match performance with his crucial tackles at critical times.  Though defeated, Celtic put in a great team performance which augurs well for the future.  2-4                                                                              click photo above to enlarge

DDSL 14Major (D Bradshaw) :  A rip-roaring contest in Porterstown. Celtic's rivals for many years, Leicester, got off to  a flyer with 2 goals, the second from a penalty.  Eoin Geraghty scored their first from a beautifully flighted cross from Peter Durrad.  Their second came from a penalty despatched with aplomb by Owen Norton, after Ruadhan Magee was taken down in the box. Celtic fought back with every sinew but it fell short, despite a smashing strike from Kevin Flanagan 10 mins from time.  Celtic launched attack after attack, with Robbie McGivern playing splendidly.  Celtic did not have it all their own way in the second half, and they had the silky skills of Lucas Borsquet to contend with to prevent them falling further behind.  1-2.  Match pics
