(PAllen) : Celtic had to start with their numbers
down as some slept in. They were punished with a goal
after 2 mins as their 9 players found the going very
tough. But they are a resilient bunch, and they
contained the visiting Mount Merrion team from then to
very late on. Celtic did build their numbers which
strengthened them. Marcus Tunney and Ross Murray put the
home side into a 2-1 lead, which they held until the end
approached. Dave Allen in goal was magnificent.
But the home side was punished in the dying mins, when
Merrion were rewarded for their battling efforts.

past the helpless keeper (see across).
