AUL Div2A Sat : Game off, no ref!!!!
LSL Maj1D Sat : Vernon McAllorum's LSL team advanced in the
Leinster Junior Cup with
a 2-1 home win over Shangan Athletic to join Peter
Finn's AUL team in the next round. Al O'Grady hit
Celtic's first from a free kick. It was Phil Dillon
who popped up late on to head home the winner for
Celtic from Tom Donnelly's cross. The crucial goal 3
minutes from time was a fitting finale for Phil as he heads off to
Cardiff to pursue his college career. We wish him
bon voyage and we are grateful for the commitment he has
shown to his team over his years. 2-1.

AUL Div1 Sun : Success has been the
order of the day for this team in recent seasons, and
they got their campaign this term off to a winning start
away to St Lawrence in the Leinster Junior Cup. It was
all square at half time, but Adam O'Callaghan operating
in his new role in the middle of the park broke through
ala Steven Gerrard and scooped the ball over the keeper.
1-0. But a defensive error brought the game to
extra time. But it was Larry Jacob who came to the
rescue and hit a powerful shot into the net to take his
side into the next round. 2-1

NDSL 7B:
DDSL 8A:
NDSL 8B: Ciaran Jones's troops get off to a
great start in their first competitive game. They
took on a strong Corduff side, and Jay Harper's brace
and Ben Traynor's penalty kick saw them share the points
in Porterstown in a cracking game that all the team can
be very proud of. 3-3
NDSL 8C:
NDSL 9A: St Columbans haven't been beaten in
an age. But they came up against a mean and hungry
Castleknock Celtic side which never gave an inch.
Despite a very physical and verbal verbal, Celtic came
through with flying colours in this league cup game.
Dylan Farrell, Mark Leahy and Mark Brazil, with the help
of Brian McGivern, brother of John of our 14Major side,
ensured a 3-1 scoreline that gives Celtic a very
promising look for the season ahead. 3-1
NDSL 9B:
DDSL 9C: A narrow defeat for Tony Molloy's
team against Jobstown Celtic in Tallaght.
NDSL 9D: Martin Steevens' team again showed
why they got runners up last season as they shared the
points against Ashbourne Utd in another cracker. David
O'Beirne got Celtic's opener, and Jack Horgan made
certain that the game ended in a draw.
Congratulations to all the team for a battling
performance. 2-2

DDSL 11B: Andy Kelly saw his brave team go
down 6-4 in a goal feast in St Josephs on the Navan Road
against Beggsboro. Greg Tobin (2), Jack Rafter and Nedin
Hivavic were the marksmen for Celtic. 4-6
NDSL 11C:
NDSL 11E: Celtic won 5-3
away to Priorswood. Sean Gannon (2), Daniel Hanney (2)
and Luke McDonnell (1) were Celtic's marksmen.

NDSL 12Prem:
NDSL 12B (CON): A goal bonanza in Porterstown
saw Celtic get the better of Darndale in a pulsating
duel on a beautiful Sunday morn, after a miserable
summer. Faruk Ibrahimi, Conor Rogers, Gary McCabe (2),
and Matthew Doyle (2) were on the mark for the home
side. 6-4.
NDSL 12C (JOL): Another big win for Celtic's team
under John O'Leary. Shane Coffey (3), Luke Doyle
(2), and one each for Kyle Patten and Kevin Keogh, gave
Celtic a 7-1 away win over Northway Rangers. 7-1. DDSL 12D (PAllen):
NDSL 12Girls:
DDSL 13Prem:
NDSL 13Prem: Celtic earned a share of
the points away to Ashbourne in the top flight. 1-1 NDSL 13C (JnHayes):
Celtic avenged their heavy defeat at the hands of Raheny
Utd at the end of last season with this battling
performance away from home. James Carolan's brace
and one from Eoin O'Donnchu were enough to earn Celtic
the points in this 3-2 victory. But it also needed a
superb last minute penalty stop by Niall O'Riordan to
maintain the advantage. The goalkeeping coaching
is paying for Celtic. 3-2. NDSL 13D
(JnByrne): Promotion is proving tough for John Byrne's
side who won their league division last season.
They went down 2-0 against Ashbourne, although with a
little luck they could have got something out of the
game. 0-2.
 NDSL 13E
(AlFahy):
Albert Fahy saw lots of promise in his side's
performance although going down 5-2 at home in
Porterstown. On the scoresheet for Celtic were
Alan Johnstone and Michael Fahy.
NDSL 14Premier: Celtic hit 4 past
Ashbourne to maintain 100% start to season.
 DDSL
14Major: Celtic went down 2-0 at home to a
very strong Crumlin side. The sides were scoreless
at half time. 0-2.
NDSL 14C:
NDSL 14D:
NDSL 15Prem: Donal Hanlon is very pleased with
the way his team has started off the new season. They
put 3 past Clontarf in a very workmanlike performance.
Niall Luckie hit a double, while Joey Crampton completed
the scoring.
3-0. NDSL 15B: Comfortable 6-1 home win for
Celtic over the visitors from Dunshaughlin. The
scoring was shared between Jordan Mills, Conor McCabe,
Ferdue Fanhari, and Glen Martin. 6-1 NDSL 15C:
After their fine win away to Swords Rovers the previous
week, when they won 3-1 thanks to goals from Mark
McIlkenny, Robert Dunne and David Zharycz, they were
brought back to earth with a bang. They went down 6-2 away to Laytown on the North/East
coast. Mark McIlkenny and John Soboda were
Celtic's marksmen. 2-6. DDSL
16A1:
Brilliant contest for Aidan Waters' charges as they
experienced fluctuating fortunes on a bright sunny
morning in Porterstown. Celtic went ahead with a
Patrick Waters' goal. But a 2-goal blast in as many
minutes saw their advantage wiped out and appear to be
in trouble. It was recent recruit Vadym who popped
up minutes from time to earn a draw for Celtic.
2-2. NDSL 16C: Eamonn McGrath and Jody Mooney
were well pleased with their team's commitment in this
game, which saw them end up comfortable 7-2 winners,
having led 3-0 at half time. Paul McGrath (2),
Paul Conway (2), Abdul Said (2), and Adam Murnane, were
on target for Celtic. 7-2. NDSL 17A: DDSL 18Prem:
Cillian Quinn got Celtic's winner in this very close
encounter with Willows FC. 1-0 |
