Update on Irish National Homeless Team click for pics Websites below, including Colin Farrell Well done to Vernon McAllorum and Dan Carey who are coaching the Irish national Homeless side. The team will be travelling to participate in games in Celtic Park, Glasgow, in Gdansk, Poland, and in Melbourne, Australia, from 1st-7th December.
The squad came through their first 'test' successfully
in an 11-a-side fund-raiser match vs. The Luas Drivers
team on Sunday last at St Francis F.C. Baldonnell, a
game in which the side comfortably went 2 goals
up. They could have been 3 up but for a missed
penalty, and then missed chances in front of goal, but
all credit to the Luas Drivers who battled on and scored
twice to level the match before the Homeless put away a
third goal in the final minutes to win 3-2. |
