CELTIC’S S.A.S IN ELECTRYFYING FORM”

CCFC returned to competitive action after 3 weeks off looking to re-establish themselves at the top of the NDSL Premier League.

After a scare, did the clocks go back or forward?? Celtic eventually just got their whole team onto the pitch in time!!

Celtic had a big injury scare with Eoin O’Brien tearing a muscle in the warm up.

CELTIC’S S.A.S – SLEVIN AND STARK were on fire today and ably supported by Mohamad Mahady (the find of the season), there was only ever going to be one result.

Celtic poured forward with Cian Conway deputising for O’Brien in the middle slotting Slevin through to chip the keeper and see it come back off the bar but Stark was following in. 1-0 Celtic - S.A.S. had struck again.

Celtic were being well drilled with Captian Sean Hanney back after six months with a broken ankle outstanding in the middle alongside Mo Mahady, Hanney slipped the ball to Mo, out to Stark, who left the Malahide left back for dead with the most majestic ‘Cryuff turn’ to cross, and see Slevin dive mid air to score a bullet header from the edge of the box. 2-0 Celtic, goal of the season?? S.A.S. do it again.

Celtic were strong at the back, their back 3 of Conor Byrne, Sinead O’Farrelly and Colm Neville holding firm with keeper Murphy on top form.  2-0 Celtic half time.

Gareth Elliot replaced the injured Murray at the break and did so to devastating effect opening the Malahide defence to slide Stark through to square for Slevin. 3-0.

It was Celtic all the way with Mahdy going close with two great long range efforts before Stark hit the post.

Worryingly 3-0 up with five minutes to go Celtic went to sleep and allowed Malahide to get two late consolation goals.

3 – 2 final score.  Stark (1) Slevin (2)

Man of the Match                  Mohamead Madhy

Goal of Season                Slevin assisted by Stark

Celtic now top the NDSL Premiership with five games to go!!
