Castleknock Celtic
3 Maynooth Town 0
A strangely subdued Castleknock
team left this result in doubt up to the last 10 mins.
Maynooth had barely one shot on target in the whole
match but the score was still only 1-0 going into the
final 10 mins.
Ryan O Donnell was wide of the
target early on, which suggested this was not going to
be his day. One great cut back from John Roe was
not converted, and then from another through ball his
shot was over the bar. He then broke through but his
effort was held by the keeper. However, a sign of
a good striker is that he keeps making the runs and
eventually he ended this game with a hat trick!!!!!
This Castleknock team is struggling
to find its top form, but today Conor Murphy stepped up
to the plate and drove this team to victory.
With the likely return of 3 players
next week, manager John Roe hopes that they will finally
start to win more convincingly. "At least we are
on a reasonable run of results even if we are still not
firing on all cylinders"
This team is slowly climbing up the
table having won 3 and drawn 1 in their last 4 games. |
