Rivervalley Rangers  2    Castleknock Celtic 1

Celtic put in their performance of the season to date.  Every player gave 110% for their team and made twice as many chances as their opponents.

In a very tough, physical encounter, but for a very unfortunate bounce of the ball in front of the Celtic goal, the result they so richly deserved would have been realised.

Sterling performances from Craig Smyth (scored), Ben McDonagh, and Tega Doherty up front.  At the back, the mercurial Abu Elamin, Conor Keith, Alan Johnson and Ciaran Coady, gave nothing away. Goalkeeper Tadhg Hanlon once again had a super game. 

This performance, in the opinion of all present on the sideline, can only help this dedicated squad to consolidate themselves for a strong second half of the season.
