5/6th April 2008
AUL Div3 Sat : Peter Finn continued his good
run when his team hit 6 past Ninth Lock in their league
encounter. Gary Masterson and Philip Germaine each
scored twice, while Kevin Darcy and Odie Fanning helped
themselves to a goal. They continue their campaign with
another game on Monday, as their league run-in continues
apace. 6-2.
LSL Div1D Sat :
AUL Div1 Sun : Eddie O'Callaghan's side
maintained their incredible run with yet another
victory. They defeated Dingle Utd away on the Navan
Road. Steve O'Callaghan scored on 30 mins, which was the
difference at half-time. In truth, the margin should
have increased in the second half. Celtic keeper
Garga n'Tway and his defence put in a very strong
performance to ensure victory was secured. 1-0.
NDSL 7s:
NDSL 8As: 2 goals from Liam Kelly and Luke
Finnegan gave Celtic a 2-0 home win over Balscadden.
2-0.
NDSL 8B:
DDSL 8E1s: Celtic ran out 2-1 winners over
Confey in a wind-swept Porterstown. Playing against a
strong wind in the first half, Celtic held Confey
scoreless, with some good saves from Naoise McAloon.
Confey scored against the run of play, but Celtic kept
plugging away, and equalised through Matthew Nugent.
They threw everything at the Confey goal, with Jordan
Manning scoring the winner from the tightest of angles
to keep Celtic's unbeaten run going. A great team
performance, everyone doing their part. 2-1
NDSL 9As: Celtic complete double over seaside
rivals, Portmarnock, with 5-0 rout.

NDSL 9C: Liam Doyle was delighted with
his team's performance in their Jimmy Higgins Shield
semi-final game against Cloughertown in Porterstown.
Celtic led 1-0 at half time through man of the match,
Cian Galvin. Cian added to his first half goal in
the second half, and with Daniel Ferrera hitting the net
also, Celtic ran out comfortable winners in the end 3-0.
The team welcomed back Graham Doyle after a 6 month
absence and made a valuable contribution. 3-0 Cup
win.

NDSL 11Prem: Heartbreak for Celtic as they
exited the Haughey Cup at home to Ashbourne Utd at the
semi-final stage. Celtic thought they had
equalised, but controversially the ball was ruled to not
have crossed the line by the ref, who was in fairness
well placed to see it. 1-2
NDSL 11C: Celtic had a cracking home win over
Santos on an April morning that saw snow on the ground
at 7.30am - maybe it's a good augury for the summer
ahead. Gary McCabe had put Celtic ahead early on,
but Santos were always a threat. Celtic managed to
hold on, and they even snatched a second late on through
Andrew Treadwell. Man of the match was Scott
Browne for his incessant running. The margin could
have been greater if Celtic had taken the chances.
Gary McCabe could have increased his tally but for an
excellent stop by the keeper. Ryan O'Neill and Luke
Martin, who tormented the Santos defence in the second
half, also went close. 2-0.

DDSL 11D:
NDSL 11E: Celtic put Ratoath to the sword with
a 5-0 win away to their Co Meath rivals. David Kelly hit
a brace, while Paul Lynch, Kasper Kuzma, and Aidan
Doherty, got one each. Playing against the wind in the
first half, Celtic led 1-0 at half time. They
turned up the heat in the second half with the wind
advantage and dominated proceedings. They ran out
comfortable winners in the end. Kasper Kuzma was made
man of the match. 5-0.
DDSL 12Major:
NDSL 12Prem: Celtic went down 1-0 to the
league leaders, Skerries Town. 0-1
NDSL 12B: NDSL 12C: Celtic were
terribly unlucky to go down by the odd goal to a
very physical looking Raheny Utd. 1-2.

Celtic 2-0 up at half time against league leaders St
Francis Moatview on a raw morning in Porterstown.
Tim Moran took off some excellent saves to maintain the
margin. The second half was a petulant affair, and
it ended early after Moatview had been reduced to 9
players when their goalkeeper was sent to the line.
Their manager then decided to call an end to proceedings
and asked for the abandonment of the game. 2-0 Celtic.
