AUL Div1 Sun : Despite having a reduced
squad, Celtic fought their way into the quarter final of
the AUL Cup with a 4-2 penalty shoot-out victory away to
Ayrfield Utd, current leaders of the Premier C division.
Celtic took an early lead through Steve O'Callaghan, and
they should have doubled their lead when they were
awarded a penalty, but Weah t'Uay hit straight at the
keeper. But they surrendered their lead just
before half time. 1-1 half-time.
Ayrfield hit the front after the re-start, but it was
Celtic's turn to equalise before the end through Andy
Weldon. 2-2 at full time. There was no
breakthrough in extra-time, and so the dreaded shoot-out
ensued. Celtic keeper saved Ayrfield's first and
fourth penalties, while Celtic converted all of theirs.
4-2 win on penalties, and a place in the quarter final.

NDSL 11Prem: A brilliant strike from Glen
Murphy, which broke his goal drought, was a highlight
of Celtic's game against a plucky Clontarf side in
Porterstown. Though Celtic ran out 5-1 winners,
the game had been a lot closer than that scoreline
suggests. Donal Timoney and Gavin O'Reilly had
given Celtic a 2-1 lead midway through the second half. Late on,
man of the match, Donal Timoney, and Jamie Traynor put Celtic 4-1 ahead, before Glen weighed in with
his superb strike. Fergus Kavanagh put in a very
impressive performance at the back for Celtic. 5-1
NDSL 11C: Fine win for Conor O'Neill's
team as they defeated Drumcondra 4-1 away to stay on top
of the league. Scorers for Celtic were Mathew Doyle and
Gary McCabe, both of whom hit a double. Castleknock
started off strong and scored early on thanks to Mathew
Doyle, and then backed off to allow Drumcondra to
equalise. Gary McCabe scored two in quick
succession early in the second half followed by Mathew's
second to finish it off. 4-1

A magnificent volley from Conor Stephenson kept Celtic
in a strong position in their quest for promotion to the
13 Premier division of the DDSL. Drogheda had put
up stiff opposition and probably deserved their draw in
the end. 1-1 NDSL 12Prem: Ronan McCabe's
goal gave Celtic a share of the points over Clontarf in
Porterstown. 1-1.
NDSL 12C: Keelan McAnerin's goal proved too
little in the end as Clonee Utd took all 3 points in
Porterstown. Celtic had gone so close to a share
of the points when Clonee landed the killer blow late on
against John Hayes's side which had reduced numbers to
select from this weekend. NDSL 12D: NDSL 12E:
Celtic maintain their league title challenge with 4-2
away win over Swords Manor, which after the league
leaders were removed from the league. leaves Celtic
on top.
