away game v. Marino FC in Fairview. Paul Lynch was as
usual on the mark, while Luke Doyle hit the second. But
the Blues were very much up for the fight. They came
back in great style, and were on level terms as the
final minutes approached. Then A Doherty hit the
winner for Celtic to send the visitors home ecstatic.

A depleted Celtic went down in this Cup game at home to
Malahide. With the squad reduced to the minimum, Celtic
went 1-0 ahead with a cracking shot from Brian Slevin.
But unfortunately, Malahide came back strongly and ran
out 3-1 winners. The visitors can count themselves
somewhat lucky, as Slevin hit the bar to almost clock up
his second. Meantime, Malahide's second was a
crazy deflection off the ref, which left Celtic
very aggrieved. 1-3. DDSL 13A : NDSL 13A
