DDSL 12 Premier suffer 4th round exit
from SFAI Norton Cup away to Home Farm.
AUL 3Sat lose 2-1 away to Oxmantown
in Unidare Cup, despite James Haughton
maintaining his blistering scoring run.
1-2.
U-15B DDSL travelled to the southside and took
full points for their efforts, putting 6 past Mount
Merrion. Gerry Troy was the star of the show with
his 4 goals. Vadim and Ridwan were Celtic's other
scorers, with Ridwan in centre mid-field putting in an
excellent all-round performance. Celtic had led 3-0 at
half time. 6-3.
U-16B DDSL were away to Broadford Rovers, and
they took the 3 points in a close encounter.
Cillian Quinn and Paul Hunt were on the scoresheet for
Celtic, who were good value for their narrow 2-1 win.
U-12Premier NDSL generously gave up home
advantage and travelled to Skerries for their league
game. Their return for making the trip was a share
of the points. 2-2.
U-12D suffer defeat in Portmarnock.
A plucky performance by a depleted Celtic Squad, who
were missing key players (including Goalkeeper) through
illness, reports team manager, Albert Fahy. Good
open passing game, but Portmarnock never put a foot
wrong in a well marshalled defence. Valuable lessons
learned by Celtic, which will stand them in good stead
for the second half of the season. 0-5.
U-11Premier progressed to the 4th round of the
Dr Tom Coughlan Cup with a 5-0 defeat of Rush
Athletic. Celtic had to travel away because their
home pitch was unplayable. But it made no
difference to Celtic who put in a convincing performance
anyway. Donal Timoney hit another hat-trick, and
he was joined on the scorecard by Stevie Donohue who
chipped in with a brace. Man of the match was
Andrew McDonnell. 5-0.
U-11Es were just edged out by Kilbarrack in
their league game away in Roseglen Road. Paul Lynch
continued his rich scoring vein getting Celtic's first.
Shane Coffey got Celtic's second. John Leary,
manager, and his assistant, Paul Doyle, were very
satisfied with their team's effort overall. They
undoubtedly deserved better for their splendid second
half performance, but they paid the penalty for
their sleepy first half display. 2-3.
U-10C go down 5-2 away to Woodlawn.
Zuhdi Emara and an own goal by Woodlawn
accounted for Celtic's goals. All was level
at half time, but Woodlawn fought hard to gain supremacy
in the second half.

U-8Ds under Martin Stevens lose out by the
narrowest
of margins
click >> 2-3.
U-13Ds lose their 2 goal half-time advantage
as St Francis Moatview rally to outgun Celtic.
David McCann was again on the scoresheet for Ken Leech's
team. A win could have put Ken's team top of
the table, but some unforeseen absences proved too much
of a handicap in such a tough game. 2-4. |
