Following on from a midweek victory over Woodlawn,
Castleknock were in pole position to extend their un
beaten league run to 11 games.
In midweek it took a stunning goal from John
Roe 7 mins from full time to get this team out of
jail. Wale added another on the stroke of full time.
Moving to Sunday, it looked like it would be an
easy game for Castleknock as they raced into a two
goal lead. Wale was on the mark having been
set up by John Roe, and Ryan O'Donnell added the
second. However, complacency crept in and
Balbriggan pulled the game back to 2-2. It was
then that Castleknock dug deep and produced 3 fine
goals, one by Wale [again], one by Michael Kiely,
and then a last minute effort by Yousef. Final
score 5-2 but the result does not reflect how close
this game was. Only for excellent performances
from Wale and Danny Walsh, this could have been a
very different result.
The 12b team have now gone 11 games without
losing [9wins and 2 draws].
