Castleknock Celtic notched up their second win of the new term over their arch rivals Corduff, in a thriller at Porterstown.

Celtic moved into an early lead with two goals from Glen Murphy, one a stunning header from a corner by Celtic's man of the match, Mark Corry.

However, Corduff are made of stern stuff, and they came storming back in the second half with goals from Darragh Morley brought them level.  And you would have to say that Corduff looked like they could take the 3 points at this stage.

But in the final 10 minutes, as a draw seemed the likely outcome, Luke Martin popped up with the winning strike.  He took a fine ball in the inside forward position, and as he took a couple of strides toward goal, he sent in a deadly shot to the far corner to send the home fans wild.  It looked all over.

Then in the dying seconds Corduff laid siege to the Celtic goal.  They won a corner, and went oh so close with a header, which was finally cleared.  Corduff were unable to breach the Celtic defence again, where Fergus Kavanagh and Luke Lynch were in commanding form, both putting in magnificent performances.  Corduff had to settle for the player of the match award which deservedly went to Stephanie Troy, who put in an inspirational performance for the Reds.
