12Premier put on a superb all-round performance, with 2 goals from Brian Slevin, 2 from Dermot Murray, and one each from Mark Conroy and Sinead O'Farrell.  Some excellent goal-keeping from the Rivervalley keeper and three strikes off the woodwork kept the score below double figures.  Celtic now sit proudly back at the top of the NDSL Premier Division.

14A had their first home game of the new term against Clontarf in Porterstown.  Vadim shot them into a 1-0 lead, which was fair reward for their early dominance.  But Clontaf struck back to equalise on the stroke of half-time. Clontarf were the more likely for the first quarter of the second half.  But Celtic gradually regained their dominance, and man of the match Paul McGrath sent the home fans happy with his late strike to give Brian Cummins' troops a deserved victory, bouncing back from their defeat away to Rush on Sunday.  But as all good teams do, they learnt from that reverse, and came through tonight with flying colours.  Mr Cummins was delighted with the overall performance of the team, but apart from Paul McGrath, he did make special mention of his keeper, Peter O'Reilly, his full back, Robert McEvoy, and his new striker from Kiev, Vadim. Surprise, surprise, this team is getting a very international look about it, not unlike the Pensioners at Stamford Bridge.

15Premier were unlucky to lose out away to Clontarf by 2-1.  Cillian Brophy made a scoring return to form with Celtic's only goal.

16As had a dream start away to Maynooth. With the wind at their backs, Neal Carton on 11 mins, and Ricky Flanagan on 14 mins, put Celtic 2-0 up.  But Celtic took the foot off the pedal in the second half, and conceded two to Maynooth who thus salvaged a point.
