Castleknock

17/18 February 2007

Cian O'Hara was on target for Celtic's U-12Premier side when they travelled to Gannon Park on the East coast for this league game. Celtic had been the more likely team in the second half as they piled on the pressure. But the winner eluded them.  Man of the match was Dylan Gourlay who put in a great display.

U-11As were unfortunate to come away from Ashtown with nothing for their effort in terms of league points, though they certainly merited full marks for going so close.  Their marksmen were Ian Watkins and Senan Warnock.

U-16As are scratching their heads at the inconclusive result of their game away to Artane Beaumont. The score stood at 1-1, when the Artane players, one in particular, got into difficulties with the ref.  It ended up with the official picking up the ball and waving an end to the game. It will be interesting to see what action the league authorities take to discipline the main culprit.
