4-1 win against Woodlawn thanks to another hat-trick
from Ian Watkins, and a single strike from Gareth
Ruane. click for more 11Ds are on a roll at
the moment. They travelled to Malahide and inflicted
a heavy 5-0 defeat on the local United club.
Evan Kenneally and Niall Callaghan helped themselves
to a brace each, and a goal from Paul Burke,
completed the scoring. This ensured maximum
points for Celtic in their 2 games in 3 days.
12Ds lost to Hartstown
Utd in a local derby in Laurel Lodge. Despite
Eoin O'Gorman's goal, it was not enough to save his
team from a 3-1 home defeat.
14Premier were thankful
to Sean Walsh and Eoin Cahill for their share of the
points at home to Boyne Rovers, in a 2-2 draw.
15Bs got back to winning
ways with a 3-2 away win over Willows. Despite
going 2-0 inside 10 mins, they fought back to earn
all the points. Man of the match Paul Cunniffe
scored with a supeb volley from a corner.
David Kelly levelled with a great solo effort.
Craig Dunne produced a touch of magic to ensure that
Celtic were victors, and maintain his good scoring
form this season.
16As overcome resilient
Cloughertown with 3-2 win. They had to restore their
lead a couple of times after the 'town had clawed
their way back twice. Tiger scored twice, with
Chris Hoey hitting home from the penalty spot.
Man of the match award went to Craig Norton.
AUL Div2 Sun hit 4
past third placed Dunsink to strengthen their
challenge for the league title. Colm Brady was back
after injury, and after Celtic had hit the woodwork
a couple of times, he put his side ahead on 35 mins.
1-0 half-time. Adam O'Callaghan put Celtic 2-0
up on 55 mins. Then John Dunne hit a brace to
make it 4-0.
The
11As also had a much deserved win on
Friday, 20th April for their management team of
Brian Kennedy/Brian Farrell/Vinnie Newman.
They took on the 2nd placed Cloughertown, and it was
a very positive performance, committed from the
start. They produced a cracker of a finish
from Gareth Ruane
who left the keeper rooted to the spot with a
spectacular lob from 18yds in the 3rd minute.
On came your modern day Alan Clarke of Leeds fame in
the form of Ian Watkins who has an uncanny knack of
finding the net. Speed and agility is his norm
and he was on fire today with a sweet hat trick from
James Carolan completed the scoring to make it 5-0.
Compliments to the team and a well prepared squad
from the coaching team.
