Castleknock took control early as Shane O Brien and Tameem Chaal dominated at midfield,
Cormac Downes tormented the Mochtas defence as he blasted the ball firstly against the crossbar and minutes later struck the upright after latching on to Killian Ronan’s pass.
Eventually all the Castleknock pressure was rewarded when Cormac struck an unstoppable shot for the lead goal.
St Mochtas started the 2nd half strongly and scored the equaliser within first 5 minutes.
Andrea Poretta and Matthew O Rourke produced solid defensive displays as Mochtas pushed forward and the diminutive Seb O Hanlon made several goal saving tackles. Castleknock keeper Liam Kelly made a number of excellent saves to keep the sides level.
Castleknock gradually got on top as the game progressed and Cormac was fouled as he was through on goal .
Shane O Brien struck the penalty cleanly but Mochtas keeper made a fantastic save to ensure points were shared.
