Castleknock rallied to overcome St Pats in this closely fought encounter to move into 3rd position in league.
St Pats started brightly and took an early lead as they dominated play in the 1st half. Fine defensive performaces by Andrea Poretta and Matthew O’Rourke allied to a number of great saves by Liam Kelly ensured the deficit was limited to one goal at half-time.
Castleknock made a storming start to the 2nd half as sub Cormac Downes had a number of shots saved by the the Pat’s keeper.
Killian Ronan and Tameem Chaal took control at midfield and the constant pressure eventually resulted in the equaliser as Cormac Downes blasted home after being put through by Andrew Murphy.
With five minutes remaining Cormac returned the compliment setting up Andrew who calmly slotted home the winner.
Great effort by all the team for their 4th League win in a row.
