Celtic were sent on their way with an own goal before the floodgates opened and their strike force hit. Eugie, Lorcan, Adam Kelly, Conor, Jonathon and Conor were all on the mark.
It had been billed as the match of the day as these 2 teams at the top of the table faced each other. Celtic were up for it from the off, and on a heavy pitch, they challenged for every ball from the start. Merrion were not given any time on the ball as the visiting team wanted to prove themselves champion contenders. Andy in goal was worth his weight in goal, sorry gold. His passion for the game is something to behold. Lorcan is making a habit of scoring screamers, and today was no exception, as he hit a rocket from the edge of the box into the top corner of the net. Brian Dalton had a hand in all the goals, while Vilius delivered passes that Stevie-G would be proud of.
Manager Robbie was full of praise for his troops as he reflected on their performance over a glass of ‘grapejuice’ watching MOTD. The ‘grapejuice’ had been a birthday present from the kids. Nice touch that!
