Castleknock stay top of premier league:
This was always going to be a tight match as these 2 sides had played out a 2-2 draw the previous weekend.
Once again Castleknock were dominent without landing a knock out score. However they controlled midfield and looked comfortable. Already missing 3 central midfielders, things took a bad turn when Ge

alon had to come off injured after 30 minutes. A makeshift midfield amazingly continued to control matters. Paddy Creegan was playing the game of his life and Harte and Stark were bossing the defence. Upfront Roe was a constant menace. No score in the first half.
In the second half things were more even. Then a decisive run and cross by Wale found Roe on the penalty spot.
His first touch flicked the ball into the air and he smashed his shot into the bottom corner. Chances were squandered by both sides after this but other than set pieces Castleknock seemed comfortable.
Man of the match was Paddy Creegan, closely followed by Harte and Murray. Special mention of Parkes who did well in an unfamiliar role.
This win leaves Castleknock top of their league. However manager Roe feels that there are much sterner challanges ahead.
