DDSL 16A1 are held at home by high-flying Greystones: 2-2

On a wet miserable morning in Porterstown Castleknock more than matched high flying Greystones.

Castleknock were into their stride from the off dominating the play.  It seemed only a matter of time before the breakthrough would come.  When it came it was Greystones who were celebrating totally against the run of play it must be said. 0 – 1

Castleknock stuck to their task and were deservedly level a minute before the break when Shlviu Aghnitha scored from close range H T 1 -1

Castleknock again dominated the early stages of the 2nd period.  However, they were again against the run of play undone by Greystones, who broke swiftly from defence and scored. 1 – 2

Castleknock to their credit kept the pressure on and looked to have created the opening for an equaliser only to to be pulled back for a free kick.  As the decision not to play advantage was debated on the touchline, up stepped David Kelly to drive the free kick low and hard to the net 2 – 2.  The remaining minutes saw chances for both sides but at the end a draw was a fair result. F T 2 – 2
