Superb display by Slevin helps Prem team to win against Trinity
Good displays by Wale,Gealo,Dylan,Artur and Deane. Sloppy defensive work at times and should have scored a lot more . Still another 3 points in the bag. Overall though i was not impressed as we mixed very good with the very bad!!!!
Missing 3 first team regulars with long term injuries[john roe, sean hanney and mo] this was still a match that Castleknock were favourites to win. From the off Castleknock dominated and created chance after chance. It seemed like an easy win was on the cards , with Castleknock sitting comfortably on a 3-1 scoreline after 25 mins. then Castleknock scored another to make it 4-1. Game over you would think but then a defensive error let Trinity in for a second from a penalty, and within a minute they scored another from a lovely header off a well taken free kick. Game on at 4-3. In the second half Castleknock showed their superiority with another 3 well taken goals ,with another ruled offside and another perfectly good goal going through a hole in the side netting. In truth Castleknock should have been in double figures. In summary a strange game with manager Roe not happy with either the goals for nor goals against column. “Two really soft goals against us and they could have cost us dearly. Having said that we should easily have scored another 4 or 5 ”
Superb man of the match performance from Slevin closely followed by Wale, Dylan, Gealon in midfield, while Stark and Harte did well at the back.
