Home Farm entertained Celtic in Elder College this morning. After a lively start, Celtic took the lead with just eight minutes gone, with a fine finish from Conor Cummins, after good work from Alex Ffrench Mullin and Padraic Collins.
Celtic pressed for the remainder of the half, and could/should have extended their lead, but had to settle for 1-0 at half time.
The second half started in the same manner as the first finished, but Celtic were caught with a sucker punch, and Home Farm equalised midway through the second half. 1-1
Celtic stuck to their guns, and with five minutes to go, Ruairí Patton gave Celtic the lead. 2-1
From the kick off, Celtic won the ball and Sam Ryan put Ruairí through for his second, and Celtic’s third.
With the last kick of the game, Evan Lawlor got on the end of a great cross from Conor Cummins and scored Celtic’s fourth goal, putting the icing on the cake. A great performance from all twelve players on show to keep a great unbeaten start to the season going. Final score Home Farm 1 – 4 Castleknock Celtic.
