Dear Parent/Guardian & Player

Whether you are a new or old member, you are very welcome. We are beginning another season, and this promises to be another exciting one, with our new Clubhouse now built in Porterstown. We need however to try to pay off the loan of €200,000 to ease the financial burden on the club and its members. We have increased our fee by a modest €20 to help pay for the loan. Please also see the attached leaflet for information on ways of supporting this huge venture which is costing over €900,000. We are introducing a new initiative this season so that members can have a chance of going to the new Aviva Stadium, Lansdowne Road, for the big international games, while at the same time helping the club meet its ongoing spending on the clubhouse. If you add €20 to the annual fee, the member will be in the raffle for 2 match tickets for those games, excluding Europa Cup Final, as well as having a chance to purchase top stars’ concert tickets in the Aviva.
We took the initiative in the recent past to adopt a childcare policy, in line with Government policy, to provide for the protection of our members. This also ensures that the FUN element is at the centre of the game for our children, while developing their skills at the same time. The adoption of this policy also provides protection for our managers and assistants who have the enormous responsibility of looking after our children. We also expect all connected with the club to ensure that they do not bring it into disrepute.
We encourage our parents to give us feedback on how they think the club is being run, and there is a feedback page on our website at www.castleknockceltic.com, where you can also access a copy of our full Code of Ethics. You should ensure that you read and understand this Code. Both player and parent need then to indicate below their willingness to abide by the Code by signing below, and return to the team manager.
As we try to give coverage to matches from time to time during the season, and we find that players like to see their photos shown, please tick the box below if you agree to your child’s photo appearing either on the website and/or in the local newspapers.
